Being peaceful and happy is not the end goal. Joy is the fundamental ambience that we need. If you want everything , particularly if the human genious has to unfold, its very important that you are in a pleasant state of experience. The subtantial scientific, medical evidence today which clearly shows you that with the pleasant state of experience, human genious will unfold. During unpleasant state of experience, sometimes in strive one can do incredible things but it won't last as it is momentary(danger of being cornered or suppressed, something might come of those situations but its momentary) . So if you want continuous outflow from you , you must be in pleasant state of experience . Happiness is not the goal to seek in heaven but its a fundamental ambience needed for you, if you want to enjoy the dinner tonight you must be atleast happy if not ecstatic. If you want to enjoy the walk on the beach, atleast you must be happy. Hence happiness , joy and peacefullness is the most fundamental requirement, basic ambience of our life. Its not the final goal
